Air Cargo

Air Shipments to U.S. and foreign destinations:

      • for compliance with air safety regulations all air shippers are required to provide a passport or other identification number;

      • it will also be necessary to complete the inventory form listing the contents of your shipment;

      • air rates are quoted by weight, but the rated weight can be affected greatly by the dimensions of the cargo, so it is important to obtain precise weights and measures of the cargo;

      • fill out the online form specifying a pickup date;

      • the pieces/parcels may be picked up at your residence or business and/or received by a local agent;

      • the final billable shipment weight will be determined at the terminal by the carrier to whom your shipment is assigned;

      • your shipment will be transferred to the destination terminal;

      • when the cargo arrives at the destination terminal, the agent there will contact you for the following purpose:

        • advise you of when the cargo will be available for you to pickup;

        • provide you with a written estimate of any port, destination, handling or agent fees assessed by your port of entry;

        • provide you a written estimate of any delivery charges if you wish to have the port agent arrange for delivery of your cargo from the port;

        • advise you of any fee if you wish to have the agent "clear" your cargo from customs rather than "self clearing" with your Contents Inventory and Bill of Lading.
